10 cheese slicer cutting boards made for christmas gifts.the woods used are padauk, tulip wood, and walnut, all left over scraps that now have a home and out of my scrap bin.these are a great gift item thats real easy to make.the hardware i got from cheeseslicing.com,they have everything you need to make any kind of slicer you want at the best prices.i bought 10 kits for about 50 bucks shipped, woodcraft want about 12 bucks each! i put rubber pads on the bottoms, got those from amazon.the finish is just a mineral oik wax blend from lowes.anything else just ask me.i got the idea and info from many jocks before me.

ps-please no cheap cutting the cheese jokes guys-you know who im talkin about!

Do they sell shekel slicers... to make items cheaper?

Thoses are amazing ! Great wood spices mix !

I considered doing the same project for Christmas. but cheeseslicing.com does not ship to canada. And you are right, woodcraft is overpriced, and the shipping price to canada is prohibitive.

anyway realy nice !

Cool slicers Pottz. The color scheme is great. maybe you should give everyone a brick of cheese too.

I’ve made one of these, but your production of several is impressive to say the least. Really good looking slicers. I’m sure they will be greatly appreciated!

Second up nice work there LP.
What’s on first? who’s on second …well the cutting the cheese got my attention, so

After checking on the internet I found this, ...is that the basis of your comment?

Otherwise as I said before nice work, now a few questions:-

1. What was the cheeseslicing part No please?...I want to order some too.
2. I cannot make out what is written on your trimmer so I need an answer for that too please.
3. What is oik wax? (mineral oik wax blend)

You still have my address do you not?

Thats it from me for a while, I am off rubbing my hands together with glee!

Do I have to teach you Aussies everything…

OIK wax comes from a south bound pig that missed going North.

.... as long as you believe in santa…
- pottz

I believe… I just hope that old white haired pudgy geriatric recovers from his latest bout of Alzheimers and binge drinking… and remembers my address… looking forward to using one of your cutters!

Thats interesting I was thinking the same thing, ... oink but wasn’t sure.
Do they actually have pigs in California?

I also believe too!

I might send him a dustpan and brush in appreciation, ... he is a bit of a messy worker.

He did alright build wise though getting everything parallel just using Irwin clamps, very clever.
At first I thought it was the same company as the parachute harness I used to jump into Normandy but its actually Irvin.

A bit of investigative detective work and I think its Potteratz up side down, that deduced by considering the “R” is actually a “Po”, not entierly sure, however I do know I still got a crook neck from trying to read it! ...dreadful writing he must be a doctor!

I just had a brainwave! ... maybe its 710!

and wait there is more, ....I actually got a email noticication so that problem has been fixed up,

Nice boards, and thanks for the link. I had made a few from the Rockler kits, and SWMBO says I need to make more, seems wherever one pops up, there are instant requests for one.

Thanks for posting, that link might save me a lot of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$
