Well its Done. Lots of firsts with this. 1st post to Lumber jocks, 1st big project, 1st tenon/Mortise joints, 1st Dove Tail joints or “Condor” for that matter are some of the many firsts for me on this project. I started in Jan or Feb of this year working on it here and there on weekends. Lots of mistakes which drove me nuts because i am a perfectionist to a fault. To that the greatest thing I learned was to recognize and accept when Good enough is good enough. ???? I started wood working 3 years ago when I was repainting my interior of my house. I decided to rip out my fire place mantle and make a new one. It turned out great and that lit a bug. My guidance on this was Marc and his TWW guild video. Benchcraft vises and plans. Maple and Walnut

A great project and addition to your workshop. Remember, we are our own worst critics.

Looks good. I’m partway through the Roubo bench with Benchcrafted hardware too. Hope mine turns out as nice.

Good looking bench, it should make a great workspace.

Beautiful bench. I just got my vise hardware and will be ready to start my build after the holidays. Hope mine turns out at least half as nice as yours!

Just wanted to say Thank you for all the kind words from you all. Much appreciated! I’ll post some pics of my basement turned shop in a few days.

Have your say...
