This is a small 3-D carving of our family on a backpacking trip. It is just 2” x 2” x 3/4” in basswood. It depicts my wife and I with our two sons, aged 8 and 12 at the time. We were on a weeklong hike in the Sierras of California.

-- Phil Allin - There are mountain climbers and people who talk about climbing mountains. The climbers have "selfies" at the summit!

Neat – both the carving and being active as a family!

my family makes me blaze the trail, I’m tallest so I clear the spider webs.
Nice carving.
