Hole in the wall

Wanted a place to put letters, keys, etc. by the door, didn’t have room for something sticking out from the wall so cut out the drywall and placed this in the hole. Just fit between studs with the electrical there and had to notch out for that wire on the bottom corner, but turned out ok. Oak, stained to match existing trim in entry.

As “Murphy” stated, “mankind will fill any unused space” I think this counts. Nice work, great idea.

You had such a nice hole goin’ and then you covered it up. Wassup wit dat? I was getting ready to do something similar but I think I like your idea better. Thanks for posting it.
