I made this box and carved it for a customer who will be giving it to his piano instructor. The instructor’s last name starts with the letter “V”, thus the musical “V” on top. Inside is the movement that plays the piece he has been working on with his teacher. Great idea for a gift!!

Thanks for looking. Info about a class I’m teaching is below. We will carve a box like this!

You are invited to join me for a chip carving class I’ll be teaching at Red Barn Retreats, on my property outside of Garden City, MN. Garden City is just 20 minutes SW of Mankato, MN.

Date: January 21-23, Monday-Wednesday, 9:00-4:00 each day
You are welcome to overnight in the Barn. All linens, towels, and kitchen facilities are available. It accommodates 10 overnight guests. There are several spots available.

No experience is required. All tools and equipment are provided. You will be instructed on chip carving techniques, sharpening, finishing and much more.

We will be carving a ball foot box shown. A pattern similar to one show is available AND a more basic pattern will be provided.

I hope you can join me! Please let me know if you have any questions. I can be reached by phone at 866-444-6996 or email [email protected]
