Recently finished this amazing chair after spending 3 years of off and on work on it. Definitely worth all the work. Made from 5/4 cherry cut from our property. I used Minwax Tung Oil finish.

Now that’s an impressive rocker!

Impressive and looks heavy, the choice of cherry was a very brilliant idea, I don’t have acces to cherry anymore so I’M slightly jealous. bravo for the nice work and thanks for showing.

Great job. That is one of those projects that you just have to touch every-time you walk by.

A beautiful chair. Do you know how much lumber you needed to complete this? I have some walnut trees that I am hoping to harvest for a special project. And is that back carved or bent into that curving headrest?

Thanks for sharing and inspiring.

That chair could be on display at the Rhode Island School of Design. Amazing!
