You can imagine this scientist spending his whole life trying to find an antibiotic for a dangerous pathogen. He has devoted his life to his research but the bacteria have infected his boots which resulted in large colonies of the microbes accumulating on his boots. Now he either hasn’t changed his socks in awhile or has not had a bath to freshen up. However, the bacteria seem to thrive on the boot medium! When you visit your doctor next time see what he has for the control of Bootocillus maximus!
The boot was carved from laminated 1×6 cedar fence board off-cuts from a patio/fence job I completed with my friend. There is no rest for the wicked! I thought I would enhance the design so I gouged out some circles. Found that boring so I followed that with pyrography. That’s when I saw microbial growth patterns taking me back to my microbiology classes at University. Still that was not enough. Now my mind was in a tizzy and I started to see circles. I became terribly confused! Enough B.S. for now. Enjoy the boots!

Winter and snow have arrived in our area over night and already I feel hemmed in. Should get more whacky as this winter progresses. Out here they call it ‘cabin fever’!

Great job.

This one is very artistic and intriguing.

I really like the burned effect and the enhanced cedar grain patterns.

Your wacky enough, nice design. No snow yet and have no heat in the shop yet. Just came in from building a snow blade for the atv. incase it does snow.
