In a continuing saga to do it myself, I saw a pretty sweet wood keyboard tray posted on several enthusiast Mac/Design blogs. Among them: Uncrate.com
They are nicely designed and compliment the clean design of the iMac wireless keyboard and Magic Track pad.
They are also close to $100 now. Kudos to the guys making a business out of it at Combine Collective. It is genius.
I decided to build one myself, out of some scrap sapele with a natural edge I couldn’t trow away from a few previous projects like a coffee table and a bench.
Here are the finished shots shown on my new Makore desktop as well, as modeled by my lovely wife ;).

Pretty cool little set up you have there. Beats the fire out of a boring ole regular keyboard.

Seconded on the gift idea! This is a beauty and goes well with the desk and the Apple look.
That slope looks just about right. Did you just play with the slope until it felt “right”?
