One of my earlier projects. I used red oak with ebony (I think) miters in the corners.

I really like the box. I’m not sold on Oak for something so small though. I’m thinking Maple with Cherry, or Walnut splines.

Thanks. I am starting to branch out on my wood selection a little more. Used to be a Home Depot oak guy but just finished a record cabinet in black walnut. Have a planer/jointer now.
