A friend recently approached my brother and I about building some rolling pins for his businesses office Christmas, which, as is visible, we agreed to! (: It was a lot of fun getting back to the lathe after not having much time this last summer. The rolling pins are have a 3 1/2” diameter 20” long. This friend also requested three silver letter openers, which are in the last picture. (Also made of flame maple.) It is a blessing for us to have a hobby like this; as teenagers we feel quite privileged.

I would also like to give credit to two others, as this job was impossible for me to accomplish by myself. These two are my brother Joel (http://lumberjocks.com/JMillerWoodworks), who did just as much of the turning as I did, and Mr. Matheny (http://lumberjocks.com/rustfever), who kindly gave us the beautiful flame maple and also his expertise in the area of turning. Thank you, we really appreciate your help!

Overall, it was a fun project and we both have enjoyed the turning! Thanks for viewing!

The wood is so awesome, and with your combined workmanship the pins and letter openers turned out beautiful.
