I tried a new look with the 9th board. I also switched from Mineral Oil to Salad Bowl Finish for the seventh (last) coat. One of my daughters uses her board every day, and tells me she oils it every Sunday.

The good news is I can see some more carpet in the family room and I’ve cleaned out all the wood from under one bed!

I like the new look but they’re all great. Nice work John.

I decided to try my first chaos board this year. I’m in the middle of it. It sounded fun and easy and a good way to get rid of scraps. I was wrong. It’s hard and takes a lot of work. These are not just “chaotic” boards you made. I can see the thought and colors and patterns, especially in the first one. Fantastic. Gives me some real inspiration but also real respect for the work this kind of board takes!

Hey Andre, a new shop would be a lottery dream. I’m working on emptying a closet full of roughed out bowls next.

Thanks Dave, I have another new look coming.

Thanks, kocgolf, it is fun and a great way to use scraps. I have a table down stairs all set up for dry run assembly and then gluing up on. Great way to spend an hour on a rainy cold day. On the nice days I’m out in the shop.
