This band saw piece was a R/D project to see how thin I could make the walls and still be stable. It worked fine, so I decided to keep it. Band saw projects are new to me, but I am impressed with the endless variety of options with this approach to box construction.

Interesting. First look at the thumbnail pic, and it looked more like a woven basket given the striations in the primary wood. What species do you have there. I wondered about dimensions but filled with tea packets pretty much answered that. I agree the number of possibilities with a band sawn box are pretty wide.

Very pretty and I like USABLE things; not just all ornamental.
I like the ornamental things too, just the usable ones better.
