Before and after re-enamel metal on antique Saratoga trunk

This poor old trunk was a rust bucket so I wire-wheeled it and applied fresh enamel paint. The base color and black were brushed on. The embossed secondary color was applied with a hard rubber ink roller if anyone wonders how it was done.

Nice work. I am old enough to actually remember using trunks like this. Great for ship or rail travel which was the main collective transportation when I was a kid.

very nice work !! I have a special fondness for the old trunks
and they need to be preserved when found in the original state.
