These were made over the summer for a local event in one of our center parks that ran each Saturday from September 15th through October 20. Each one is slightly different than the others. Wood used varied in species—white oak, red oak, poplar—whatever was straight, long enough, and had the desired look and texture.

Nothing wrong with giving a second wind to wood, I say. Like us old folks: there’s character in all those deffects, bumps, and bruises. :)
