I made this flip top tool stand to save some space in my one car garage shop. The stand houses my planer and sander. The sander will live on the “upright” most of the time as I use it more often.
I used a full sheet of 3/4 inch plywood for this build and some basic hardware you can buy at any hardware store. The locking mechanism is super solid and really user friendly – I didn’t come up with it, I just took inspiration from a lot of other great flip top stands out there.

I am thinking about building one of these, but instead of the sander, it would be for a router table. Has anyone gone with that setup instead?
