This is another super ellipsoid box, this time walnut and yellowheart.
The shape of the box was designed using Vectric’s Aspire Software. The last few photos shows the process I used to inlay the 7 yellowheart hexagons. I first used the CNC router to cut the 7 hexagon holes in the walnut, next I cut the yellowheart hexagons and then glued them in place. After the glue dried I shaped the cover on my CNC using the model for the cover I designed in Aspire.
Next came the slow sanding process and then finishing using a rub on poly.
