Billinmich writes: This having been my first carving….. gives me a lot more respect for carvers and painters. Hopefully the next project will come out much better. These skates are 38 years old, my sons first pair of skates, he was 2 years old. I did them in 3/4 scale because they were already very small. Jordon did a great job with the tutorials and I learned quite a bit. I found carving to be a very enjoyable and relaxing experience. Thank you!

Wow! What a nice job you did on them! They will look great hanging on a hook for a winter decoration. Just beautiful! :)

Tremendous effort! You did it! You carved some skates! And they even look like skates! Hooray!

Great job. It was hard enough, and then you make 2 skates, at 3/4 scale. Super!

Picture 4 makes it look like you forgot to scale your second skate! Excellent work!

Super job on these, now look at Jordan’s site and do one of his carvings. I have confidence that you can do it as well as you did your shoe(skate).

Double the challenge, double the fun. You probably chew Double-mint gum. A great job on the creation.

Excellent work – carving and painting. You captured the scuffed toes with paint – nice touch.
