Siberian elm has such a beautiful golden color, just love the finished look. I got this wood from a friend who had to cut this tree down in his yard. I normally like to put a stringer between the legs for strength but I was limited on the amount of wood that I had. The legs are mortised into the bottom of the seat and braced with a couple of blocks. I finished it with a satin spray on polyurethane.

I really like the way you used the bark/ live edge!

It looks like it belongs in a chalet or hunting lodge… very organic…. cool.
