This vessel is made of oak, walnut and zebrawood with dyed black wooden laminate. There are 295 pieces in this woodturning. The turning is 8 1/2“tall and 12 ½” in diameter.
Rather than concentrate on intricate feature ring patterns, I paid close attention to the fit and finish. I made sure that all of the joints and rings were perfect without any gaps. Hopefully I’ll be able to carry this skill with me going forward to my next projects.
For the finish I put on five coats of Min-Wax high gloss polyurethane followed by a good buffing with Renaissance wax.

Nice man! what glue do you use? What do you use for clamps. I like the approach of tight joints first. But don’t cut yourself short, that is nicely done!

This came out really nice with appealing details and a great shape and good finish.

There is definitely an awesome skill set with the tight joints. Nice piece.
