Whiskey Barrel mini-bar

A couple months ago, we took a tour of a well known distillery and I saw something in the souvenir shop that caught my eye. All passionate woodworkers know exactly what that means and what happens next.

I purchased the raw materials from the store and …

Dealing with the char on the inside of the barrel was a new challenge. What a freaking mess. But it turned out great and really adds some character to the project.

I might add some LED lights under the bottles to lighten things up a bit.

btw – I’m not much of a whiskey fan, but would highly recommend the distillery tour if you get a chance.

Nice job. I wouldn’t drink Jack Juice on a bet, but makes a great gift for someone with a different palate. Conversation piece to all.

I’ve yet to be on a tour along the Bourbon trail that wasn’t a lot of fun. So may liquors, so little time….. If you’ve only been in Tenn, ya gotta do Ky. That’s where they make the really good stuff. :-)

Thanks for posting

That is thinking outside the barrel … I meant box!
Good looking mini bar and very well done.
