Smart design. What type wood is that?

It’s Butternut—a very nice wood to work with.

That made a great bed. And good design on the hand-cut joinery!

I’m fairly certain I’ve seen a bed exactly if not almost exactly like that.

childress: I saw a design similar to this on LJ, and adapted it some to this. There are plenty of beds like this in the Japanese joinery world, which is where most of the inspiration came from.
