Hi All,
I finally made some various width push sticks for the table saw and I needed a good spot to place them. I thought about it for a while and came up with the idea to use my overarm guard so they would be at an arms length reach. And then I thought I might as well add a peg for my hearing protection as well. Everything is made of Baltic Birch ply and has a shellac finish.
No more searching through the scrap pile for a push stick for me…
Also, the last pic shows what I do to the bottom of my push sticks. I take a hot glue gun, run a bead on the bottom of the stick and level the glue out. This idea came from an old issue of FWW. It works great gripping the wood and the glue lasts forever!

Good idea! Thanks for posting … wonder if the over-arm on my Sawstop would support something similar.

Stellar job the push sticks and holder…..Neat idea….What I do on my push sticks is I take a “slice” of sand paper (about 150 grit), cut a strip the length and width of the push stick and heel, and glue it on the bottom…..Talk about gripping power…...!! No more slipping wood….!! But my main “go to” is the Gripper….!!

Never heard of the hot glue idea. If you cut into it, does it crud up the blade or just fly off?

No, I’ve never had the problem of it sticking to the blade.
