I have been wanting to attemp this design for sometime but was little taken back until seeing Aj1104 post which helped with some steps. Along with some of Randy (Blackie) post I found after I had started which also shed light on my weaknesses.

The box is made of walnut and Bocote shell with inside made of pine and cherry wood with zebra wood splines. It was finished with Arm R Seal and a Little wax oh yes the top lid was a piece of Ambrosia maple which I had tinted the camera doesn’t really do it justice but I tried. (Popping the grain)

The overall dimensions are 10” H x 8.5” D x 13” W the top has two hidden compartments under the top trays one is accessed with the hidden change holder using magnets , the remaining hidden compartment is behind the left drawer when pulled out. Box was little taller than had plannned but wanted to have a lid and small bottom on finished project. I will eventually line the drawers and upper tray with some felt once I decide on a color but like the wood showing for now.

This may go to an old friend and may make another for myself once I learn from the real author of the VALET BOX so I can get my mistakes minimized ,,,,
