Another Bandsaw Box

A gift for my uncle in Seattle. I used some lightly figured Myrtlewood, Purple Heart and Yellow Heart.
I wanted it to be somewhat whimsical yet classy and sophisticated. The drawer pulls were something that I just sort of created on the fly. I had no idea what I was going to do for the pulls, so I picked up some cut offs and started shaping until I loved it, and I do.
I also flocked the inside of the drawers AND the drawer cavity to prevent any scratching on the drawers and also to create a nicer, quieter, smoother fit.
This is by far my favorite bandsaw box to date, but I will definitely hide my cuts in the grain next time.
Thanks for taking a look.

That is a really nice BS box, usually not a big fan, but this is well done. Agreed the entry cuts with the grain as camouflage would have been next to invisible with that grain, but you aren’t tripping over the ones you made. Remember you know they are where they are, most people would just say howdidyoudothat?

Thanks for posting.

Nicely done BS box and good thought on the flocking for the drawers to ride on. I’ve never used flocking before but might have to bite the bullet and order some. Surely your Uncle will love it!!

Thank you all for, again, amazing and positive feedback! Yes, my uncle received it already and has called me more than once to tell me how much he loves it. :)
@therealSteveN: I’m not sure I understand what ‘my 3’ that you’re referring to is…
