Finally, after 7+ months, a house move, wife graduating from nursing school – and this table is finally done. It’s been a learning experience for sure. I’m proud to say this table is made from mostly hand-cut joinery, with a little machine assistance. The top was flattened after glue up with hand planes and scrapers, followed by sanding through the grits to 220. The build process was documented here.
Frankly, I’d be happy to try and sell it, but the wife says since it’s my first I have to keep it… guess I’ll sell the next one :) Overall, I’m happy for the first thing I’ve designed and built completely from scratch. Thanks for looking.

Wow Jimi, I can see why your wife wants to keep it. That’s a very nice, and Useful addition to the kitchen. And it sure looks better than my first project. Congratulations! It looks like a project to be very proud of.

Nice work area. Portable to move wherever needed most. Someone in your kitchen will really be happy.
