My version of a Jefferson lap desk. Design changes made to the lid style to make it more stable. Dove tailed corners. It is finished in a french polished garnett shellac. A hand tool project as are all my pieces.

Nice work on a very desirable project. Yes the original wasn’t designed for the rigors of a laptop. I like the finish a lot, Garnet Shellac does such nice things to wood.
