The wood used is pallet wood; free.
The knife made from an old sawzall blade; free.
The copper ferrule came from a bought pipe; $4.
Making a marking knife; priceless.
The rest of the story you find here.
I am going back to painting my porch.....
Be good, Pabull.

Ik stik nog van die zaagjes, werkt perfect om pallets uit elkaar te halen.
Goed idee…..
Bedankt Houtje
I still has alot of these saws, use them to taking pallets a part.
Good idea…

Now I soon strat to get stressed – I also want to make a wonderful marking knife from a old saw blade…
I salute you, it’s a really nice knife you made, and I love the recycle element.
Do not trust Dennis! I’m from a diffrent planet, I just pretend to be a earth man! ;-)
Best thoughts,

Great looking knife! I’ll have to make one too. I’ve got a broken sawmill blade that would make a great marking knife blade. I’ll have a lot of blade blanks left over, so anyone who wants one, just send me a note with your address. A 3 or 4” section of blade taped to a piece of poster paper should ship in an envelope.

Thanks Div, I am flattered.
It would be a treat to work with you side by side on that big sawmill of yours. That thing is so awesome. That makes my little projects look like kinder garden projects.
I need to go, deck needs painting.
Be good, Pabull.

Ja, it will be a treat to me too! Sawmilling is heavy work, making Pine Cars with a bunch of beautiful kids looks like a lot more fun!

Sorry to burst your bubble, but there is more to life than only pine cars in my household.
