This was supposed to be a much more involved Jewerly box for my Niece, but that ended up taking too long and I was working on it on and off for over two years and finally had to scrap it and move on. So, this is where I ended up and it turned out pretty good. Its made from 1/2” thick Red Oak with a Maple top and a small piece of Walnut to help open the lid. For the dividers, I made small ‘tenons’ to accept them and that helped break up the space. The bottom is floating in a rabetted groove. The Dovetails turned out pretty good, I was a little rusty but overall they weren’t too bad cutting by hand.

The top was milled from a Family tree so that made this very special and the Maple complemented the Oak very well. I hope you enjoy looking!
