I was asked to build a couple of frames. Made of red oak. Early American oil stain with Poly satin coat and wax. I normally dislike making picture frames. No matter how good they come out I still look back and think what a pain they are, and I have the tools to make them. Turned out okay.

Scott,
I am in the middle of doing the same sort of project and would love to know how you made these (i.e. milling process) I have bought 2 different router bits hoping I could reproduce a frame I have and neither has turned out well. yours look superb and I would love to copy them.

Like Derek I’d be very interested in knowing how exactly you milled these. I’ve struggled with getting frames to turn out nicely and yours are beautiful.

I’m in the middle of making some frames too and I’m just before throwing out two thirds of what I’ve done. You are right-they are a pain! Yours are super!

I’ll agree about the frames bein a pain, but, the end product is worth it all. Very nicely done.
