The cradle is finished with Waterlox OSF. It was made by Susan, my wife of 52 years, and me. Susan reads drawings and I have never been able to.
It will be shipped to a little girl in Rapid City, SD who is the granddaughter of life long friends. They have no idea it is coming.
The quilt used for background was handmade by Susan

Very cool it is fun to surprise people with a hand made gift.

Having a very crafty Wife myself I see that you’re proud of her, and that is a good thing.

I’ve always thought the covered cradle was the nicest of places for an infant, or a baby doll to lie sleeping, and that one looks very nice. Hats off to you both. I expect it will be a very much welcomed surprise to the recipients.

That is one of the coolest win wins I’ve seen in a long while.

Congrats to you both for that, and thank you for posting this for all of us.

That looks awesome Jerry. You going guys did a great job. I’m sure the recipient will cherish it for years to come. What a nice gift.

You and your spouse did a stellar job on the cradle….It looks great, and the fit and finish is stupendous….I really like the shape and size….Reminds me of a Shaker-style cradle….The little one is going to get rocked to sleep a lot…..!!! And your friends are really going to be surprised…..And what a nice surprise it is…..Way to go…!!

And tell your wife she did a stellar job on the quilt as well….My wife quilts, and I’ve seen all kinds of patterns, and hers is beautiful…..!!

Nice Doll Cradle Jerry !! Will be a happy little girl that gets to rock her dolls in that. Will be several generations that will use it.

Thank you everyone. I would have been hard pressed if it was not for Susan. The item is to be delivered today. I’ll post their reaction.
