Have a bunch of maple from my hardwood flooring days to use up and also wanted to try my first shot at a deep vase like project. It has about 300 pieces of Maple, Walnut, and Cherry; it is about 1/4” to 5/16” thick. I broke it in half with a catch working on the inside and lost some of the lower part but I re glued it and it actually made the shape better. I just might save it for my ashes…

Very cool. Makes me want to get out my recently acquired Grizzly Lathe (yard sale find!) and play. Gotta learn some time!!!
