My daughter chose “Wood & Lace” as the theme for her wedding. It was an incredible joy and privilege to spend time with her (and her fiance) building the wedding decorations in the months leading up to their special day. See my other projects for four more projects we made for the wedding.

My son and I built this for the wedding as a photo backdrop. It’s 7’ tall, 5’ wide, and 16” deep. The frame is pine 2×2s glued and screwed together, then covered with reclaimed cedar fence pickets planed down to fresh surfaces.

It’s built in three sections so it can be transported, then assembled with eight 1/4” x 3’ bolts with washers and nuts.

It now resides on their front porch.

Nice ‘K’ and I looked at the rest of your handy work – you’ve been pretty busy.
Whatcha gonna do when she leaves ?

Thanks. Fortunately she’s only 4 hours drive away, so we still get to do some projects together. And her husband is an excellent metal worker with a nice set of metal working tools, so we’ve expanded our capabilities!
