The hf is 3”x4” the lid is walnut. It also has some epoxy and coffee grounds in it. Finished with wipe on poly.

Awesome Job! Two questions though, First what is a “hf”? And secondly, can you explain the use of epoxy and coffee grounds? Thanks for showing!

Very unique and beautiful shape to this Shimmy. The wood seems to glow. Great turning and thanks for sharing it with us.

Very nice shape, this is a great piece. @JD a HF is a hollow form, I don’t know about the coffee and epoxy I haven’t tried that one yet, but it looks like a really nice finish.

The coffee and epoxy mix is used to fill voids and cracks.

Very Nice piece Shimmy. JD & Roper the coffee grind is mixed with the epoxy or CA glue to fill voids or cracks and when finished looks very natural and part of the grain or wood.
