I had made this style shoe before and really liked it. I tweaked the handle slightly and made a couple of thinner ones. They are so comfortable.

They are beautiful but I saw a concern posted about having your hand inside the handle, that it could pull your hand into the saw blade. It posited that leaving the handle open was safer around power saws. Again, they are very well done.

Hey John. I suppose that’s a possibility, but there are a lot of commercially available ones that have closed handles. I know that doesn’t mean they’re safe, but I think it’s better than a stick. It feels more secure and comfortable.
