The Woodbuddies Shop has a second cart for mounting table top equipment. Some of the portable table top items are not used continuously and are kept in the cart. The interior shelves are overriding extension pullout to allow for ease in reaching for the tools.

The top of the cart has threaded inserts for holding the tabletop equipment during use. The Miter saw is attached directly to the top with four threaded knobs. The other section of the top has two inserts.

Since the stored equipment size and attachment varies we use sink cutouts and attach the equipment permanently to the cutout. Holes are located in the cutout that corresponds to the insert locations on the cart top. Threaded knobs then hold the item securely in place while it is being used.

That’s an ingenious idea, threaded inserts!

Nicely done!
I am a big fan of multi-use carts!
