Walnut and Ash. Here’s another simple box from the Doug Stowe class. This represents my first attempt using finger joints. This one is blended with bevel miter at the top to hide the floating lid. As noted in my other post, learning Stowe’s KISS techniques significantly improves productivity and leaves one wondering—why didn’t I think of that?

I know I risk getting flamed by promoting someone or something too much, but for those of you interested in box making, check out Doug Stowe’s books, articles, website, or his course offerings.

That’s a very nice box. The bevel top is something I must remember to try.

Shame on you, learning from a master, how dare you I say laughingly!

But I have to admit that is a beautiful build.

I will have to check out Doug Stowe, as I am always willing to learn something new!
