Twin Bed (2014)

I still look at this project and smile!! There are no screws or hardware holding this together. Just using mechanical joinery (sliding-half-wedged-dovetail? Haha). With a few taps of a hammer this can be broken down or set up in minutes. More importantly it doesn’t rock/rack or creak/squeak.

It’s made of soft maple, and oak plywood panels, and walnut pins/wedges.

I hope my son appreciates it later in life.

Hey! This is great! I really like the design. Great joinery, looks very precise. I think that’s way better than metal joiners that can pull out or squeak or whatever… Great job.
