A simple beveled box, and a top with different techniques. The letters are hand carved and filled with a resin with crushed stones that I brought back from my trip to New Mexico. The burning is caused by applying a high voltage with two poles. It is called a LICHTENBERG burning. This is the first time I’ve done it. A bit dangerous but with proper precautions it is a technique worth exploring. Finished with two coats of a mix of wax, turpentine and linseed oil.
The box is made of walnut and the top is maple.
