Nothing too fancy here, but a few notable points- the table is all solid Padauk, with the legs being sized up, then hand curved with spokeshaves, etc.
The apron joinery is lap dovetail. I really like how the Padauk ages darkly over time, with deep dark striping. I just finished a coffee table of the same specie, and of course it’s red- but will darken up nicely. this table is about 6 yrs since completion.
Thanks!

Edit: added the leg close up by request, and added an outdoor pic right after I scraped it back to reveal more coloring :) You can see on the indoor pic how dark the top is, then after I cut it back a little the red came back, but the dark striping remained.. Me liky! haha! If it wasn’t for the lung killing toxins in Padauk, that is! ;)

Very elegant little table, Rick. You must have made a lot of fine orange dust building that. :-)

How about a close up shot of the feet ? They look pretty original from here : )

There you go, Dusty. Not that they are all wild and eccentric, it’s just that I shaped them just by feel and the design was what I wanted. I’m sure the tapered and shaped legs are all over the place like that…and yes, Charlie- I have a nice quart bucket full of the finest red/orange dust (filler material) that you can imagine! haha!
