This is my bird peck hickory birdhouse that I softened all the edges – more that what showed up in the pictures I took. I welded a bolt on the rusted hook and mounted it to the front. The roof was cut out of an old rusted shelf unit that was left at the street for pickup. I cut, folded, sanded and hit the roof with a metal brush on my angle grinder. The door pins were made from heated and bent cut nails. Sanded the whole thing down to 400 grit and finished with a satin spar poly. It ended up with a western look. The roof reminds me of an old rifle or a belt buckle. This ended up being a heavy birdhouse!

I love your birdhouses, they are so full of humor – the birds moving in will have some wonderful laughts.
Thank you for the smile on my face now,
Best thoughts,
