Maple Weed Pot

This a piece of spalted maple that I won at our turning club raffle. It is apprx. 8” tall and 3” in dia. The finish is 5 coats of Wipe on Poly and buffed on my Beal System. My wife has it is on a table in our Sun Porch. Comments are welcome and thanks for looking.

And an elegant looking weed pot it is….. Great form / shape, very nice looking chunk of wood.

That is a great turning, and the finish on it is amazing. Hope you wore your mask while sanding that spalted wood. Keep them comin. Don’t you just love the wood you can get from a local turning club.

Great work…. the timber is gorgeous, but that shape although simple … is outstanding.

Pretty piece, especially the nice run with the bark inclusions. Looks particularly good with the flower arrangement.
