So what I am looking at that looks like a series of radial inlays is that the branches, that come out like spokes from many pines? Is that crazy coloring just on the Norfolk Island?

Whatever, it makes that simple turning go BOOM. I would never had thought NI pine was that good looking, nice pick.

I say this having turned many a mile of Port Orford Cedar, way back in the ShopSmith days, but it doesn’t look like that. At least the stuff they gave us to work with didn’t.
