Hello and thanks for looking at my project.
The box is 100% wood and glue construction.
It is 10” long, 6” wide, and 4 1/2” tall.
The wood is padauk and ambrosia maple.
The finish is Minwax polyurethane wiped on / off with paper towels.
The corners are mitered with splines.
Primary features are the wood hinges and the removable trays are interchangeable.
The lid and bottom panels of the box and trays are nested in a dado.

Great looking box. Nice work with the splines. The added feature of 2 trays is a nice touch.

Excellent box there, very nice work.

Absolutely love your choice to play Ambrosia Maple against Padauk. That looks like $$$$$$$$$$.

Thanks for posting.

Glad you went with the splines in the trays. Adds visual appeal to them.

Hmm.. based on the LJ description in my twitter feed, this is a different type of mother-in-law box than I imagined.

I don’t have twitter, what kind of description does it give?

Thanks to all for the kind words.
I am glad I went ahead and splined the trays too.
Makes them match the box much better.

I love the concept! But I don’t think she’s gonna fit in there.
