Miter Saw Drill Press Station

After recently scrapping my radial arm saw I acquired a miter saw. I needed a cabinet to accommodate it and I wanted to incorporate the drill press into the same cabinet. I always thought that the space under a drill press table is largely wasted. This is my solution to incorporate a bench top drill press with miter saw so that long boards can laid across the foot of the drill press when using the miter saw. Of course I needed storage too and dust collection for the miter saw. This is what I came up with. Thanks for looking.

NICE!!! Well laid out and you have dust collection covered as good as it can get.

Sorry it took so long to comment but looking at the cabinet I kept drooling on my keyboard and couldn’t type

Smart to put it with the drill press like that. Has me rethinking my layout plans…

Stellar job on the build of the miter saw/ drill press station…..I built one for mine years ago, but I still have the RAS with mine….But like you, I’m about ready to scrap the RAS for a sliding miter saw….The radial still works good, but takes up more space…...

This is a fine miter saw and drill press base. It’s a wonderful addition to your shop.

Bondo – That looks great. I’m in the middle of building a mitersaw station, but not too far along to steal a couple of ideas from your build. Nicely done.

Here is a feature that I forgot to include in the original photos, a slide out Forstner bit tray.

Well now, you’re just bragging.

Beautiful setup. Wish I had a permanent space to house my tools.
