This is the infamous maple bowl that I turned at JockMike2’s shop a few weeks ago. I have put about 5 coats of Tung Oil on it. Here is the link to my previous blog. http://lumberjocks.com/blogs/tag/maple+bowl
I had a blast making this bowl. I really love how the tung oil has brought out all the character in this bowl. I am going back next week to start a new turning. Still no thought as to what yet.

Looks great, yea, Tung Oil has always worked the BEST for me on spalted woods, brings out the natural with no ambering effect. Great Post, thanx…

Man that bowl came out beautiful. I wish I could have seen the expression on Nancy’s face. I’ll bet she’s proud as a peacock of you. You worked hard on that bowl grasshopper, remember, wax on, wax off. You have come far, I just hope my lathe holds up, taking all that abuse, LOL. Just kidding. Great job buddy.
