Another fun project.

We are giving the first dragon claw clock to my brother-in-law. He is a bigger dragon fan than I am.

This gave me an opportunity to build a second dragon claw clock. Very happy with the design. Its in Mahogany with maple dragon columns. Stained the dragon portion of the column so it would pop and allow some of the detail to shine through.

The finish in tung oil. The Mahogany really came through. The color and grain are much more pronounced than the first clock. It is magic when the oil is applied. You never know what the wood is hiding.

Cnc carved dragon claw face holder, dragon columns, and celtic cross with my and my wife’s initials.

Exterior columns accents lathe turned by eye.

Thank you. It was a fun project. I wish I had more time to indulge in our addiction. Its almost a rush to see what the grain will look like with the first coat of oil. :)

Dang, you spent a lot of time on this project! Because of all detailed and beautiful carving, I almost didn’t notice the CLOCK in the center :) Nice work!
