Check out this oak mallet i made on the lathe to add to my tool collection. I thought it was a crime, that i didn’t have a wooden mallet in my tool kit, so i decided to make one with the help of an experienced wood turner. He helped me to use proper technique on the lathe, rather than do what I’ve done in the past, which is to just gouge the piece into submission. Check out the build video, here…

Gouge the piece into submission. = ROFLMAO sounds like my neighbor using a skill saw.

Nice mallet, a good addition to your tool kit. Now you will want to make a BIG one for those cabinets that need serious attitude adjustments.
