Truck is based on a 1988 Aussie Mack Series 2 Super Liner, hauling a tri-axle box trailer with a solid timber Coffee Table top !
Dimensions,- 6ft. long overall x 18” wide, x 18” high.
Trailer dimensions, minus Coffee Table top,- 4ft. long x 10” wide.
Wheels are 4” Diameter.
To obtain the checker plate effect on the tank steps I used some perforated mesh out of a couple of old speaker boxes, which I attached with two-pack epoxy then painted aluminum so the tanks & steps look like chrome.
Both the truck & its trailer are set to, 1:10 scale for realism, & balance.

  • Any woodworker can make something like this by purchasing one of my 1:20 scale Aussie Big Rig Plans and doubling the size by 200%, then simply modifying the plan a little, while the trailer is just a box on wheels when one stops to think for a minute.

My kid would drive off with that coffee table :)

Lots of intricate pieces on that one, nicely done.
