he first is an end grain maple, yellowheart, and walnut board 10×12 x 1.25 and the second a surface grain board from left over scraps too nice to burn in the shop stove

Nice work, Phil. I know how hard it is to throw away scraps of real nice wood. I cut them up in to 3/4” square pieces form pen turning buddies!

I like the contrast of the woods, nice job.

Do you know if the yellowheart will stay yellow, or will it brown as most of the colorful woods tend to do?

That scrap board is great for a cheese board/serving tray.
