Steamer Trunk/ USCG Shadowbox

This trunk is the second of my steamer trunk projects. Built of Walnut and Cherry with panels of Hickory plywood, it more closely followed the original plans since it didn’t include modifications to the lid to accommodate for the cutlass.

That is going to make a Chief proud. love the contrasting colors of the wood and the slight curve of the top. Very nice!!
